The Wishing Shoe By Jupo
A wonderful book written by Frank J. Jupo, a German who escaped the Nazi's to the UK and later America. He was a cartoonist who turned to children's books and the Wishing Shoe is an excellent example of his work.
The Story "A delightful fantasy for boys and girls which, the moral 'Be it ever so humble, there's no place like home'. While they're discovering this homely truism, children will have a wonderful time sharing the adventures of Mr. Pim and his children, Jeff and June--all brought about by the wishing shoe."
Wonderfully illustrated as you can imagine from the front cover to each page, a mix of colour and black and white details, including a map at the back.
